Mango Pineapple Bowl with Hippie Granola Recipe

I have a love-hate relationship with the current weather. I adore the sunshine, long summer days, wearing shorts and flip-flops, and the general warm-weather vibe. Still, when temperatures climb into the triple digits, reality sets in.

I’ll shower, get ready, and the moment I step outside, Mr. Sweat greets me like an old friend. Sometimes it feels like you might as well skip the shower — but of course I don’t. Nobody likes smelling like they’ve been baking all day.

Makeup has become a summer nuisance. One of my biggest pet peeves is sweating my makeup off. You never know what your face will look like after fifteen minutes in the heat — is my blush streaking down my cheek? Did my eyebrow pencil migrate onto my eyelid? Is sweat mixing with color and dripping? Gross. My solution: very little makeup. I go au naturel most summer days.

Hydration becomes essential on those scorching days. I never used to carry a water bottle everywhere, but now my hands are almost always holding one. It’s convenient to have a drink within reach, even if lugging a bottle around can be a little annoying.

Despite these petty complaints, I’ll take summer over winter any day — so beneath the rants, I’m a happy camper.

On a brighter note, I’ve kept up my frozen treat habit all summer. My Healthy Bowls are lifesavers on hot days, and today I’m sharing another delicious and refreshing bowl recipe. I’ve paired it with another Paleo favorite as a crunchy topping.

This Mango Pineapple Delight with Hippie Granola is cold, creamy, and crunchy — perfect for summer. I think you’ll love it.

Enjoy…and stay cool.
