Some days I get junk mail. Other days I receive beautiful books to review that make me want to jump up and down. This week I got both—book day wins every time. I’m excited to share a selection of lovely Moana books that are perfect for fans of the film and for kids who love vibrant stories and art.
If you have children, you probably know Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film Moana. My family adores this movie for its adventurous spirit, memorable characters, and stunning depiction of the Pacific Islands. The ocean is my happy place, and Moana celebrates that connection in a way that feels both fresh and heartfelt.
About Moana
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature film Moana follows an adventurous teenager who, with help from the demigod Maui, sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and save her people.
Great movies often inspire wonderful companion books, and the Moana titles I received expand the story in ways that work for a range of ages. These books are well-produced and offer a variety of formats—from picture books to chapter adaptations and activity-friendly titles.
